TIGERSCAST TO PODCAST GAMES IN 2008

NEWTOWN SQUARE, PA - Starting in August 2008, Eye of the Tigers’ TigersCast will provide play-by-play coverage of all Marple Newtown home football games. During the 2008 season this exclusive play-by-play coverage of all home games will be available online via a podcast distribution.

Those interested in listening to all of the games played at Harry Harvey Stadium in 2008 can go online to
http://www.marplenewtownfootball.com/ or directly to the Eye of the Tigers’ website, http://www.eyeofthetigersblog.com/, and subscribe to the TigersCast podcast service. When a new podcast becomes available, subscribers will be notified by email. Additionally, those who subscribe to the TigersCast podcast in iTunes will find content automatically downloaded onto their iPod, MP3 player or you can listen right from your computer.

TigersCast has assembled a broadcast team that will bring you all of the action from high atop the 50-yard line in Harry Harvey Stadium for each home game. Bob Herpen and Greg Pecko will be the voices of the Marple Newtown Tigers during each podcast:
Bob Herpen – Play-by-Play Announcer

Bob brings a wealth of experience in sports media to the Marple Newtown football broadcast team. Currently a sports writer and editor for The Sports Network based in Hatboro, PA, Bob began his career as both play-by-play and color commentator for Boston College football and men’s ice hockey beginning in 1999 for acclaimed radio station WZBC-FM.

Upon graduation, he was part of internet broadcasts of Temple University football games for the 2000 and 2001 seasons, then spent three years with Major League Baseball Advanced Media working with the Phillies and MLB.com, ending in 2004. Also during this period, Bob provided play-by-play and color commentary for baseball, football, basketball and ice hockey at the high school level for Bucks County based WBCB-AM under legendary Eagles’ broadcaster Merrill Reese.

Greg Pecko – Color Commentator / Producer / Engineer

Greg comes to the Marple Newtown football broadcast team from Comradio, a student run internet radio station at the Pennsylvania State University in State College, PA. Pecko was one of four original creators of That Sports Show, which consisted of basic sports talk and analysis of both collegiate and professional sports that was heard on Comradio.

Additionally, Greg provided play-by-play for Comradio for Penn State University’s baseball team; he collaborated on sound production for commercials, sound clips, show intros, bumper music and helped handle pre-show decisions on what topics to discuss.

A graduate of Ridley High School, Greg will be starting his senior year at Penn State Brandywine in August.
